The Monday Combination Class (Combo Class) offers a unique opportunity for friends — new and old — from both the AM and PM classes to share an afternoon of learning and fun based on the DCCNS play-based philosophy.

This class is designed to offer rich, fun learning opportunities, and chances to exercise greater independence, teamwork and problem solving. Given that this class is composed of our more seasoned preschoolers, we are able to create a great forum for communication, relationship building, conflict resolution, and social skills development.

The Combo Class is offered on Monday afternoons from 1:00-3:45 p.m. beginning in early October. An October start date allows students to get established in their “homeroom” class of AM or PM before adding the Monday class. Teacher Betsy and Teacher Paul co-teach the 2011-2012 class, with other DCCNS teachers involved to varying degrees.

Registration for this class occurs in September, once AM and PM class enrollments are set. To be eligible for enrollment in the Combo Class, students must be kindergarten-eligible for the following year and have had at least one semester of experience in either the AM or PM class. We welcome mid-year enrollment in this class for those students who are new to DCCNS in the fall.
